Harley Quinn, Rick Flag and Captain Boomerang return for another black ops mission with Task Force X.

David Ayer’s 2016 movie Suicide Squad wasn’t particularly well-received, and so, producers at Warner Bros. handed the torch over to James Gunn to make this standalone sequel.

Once again, inmates of Belle Reve prison are recruited by Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) to become a part of Task Force X – aka The Suicide Squad – in exchange for shaving time off their sentences.

This time around the convicts – including returning characters Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman), and Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), as well as newcomers like Bloodsport (Idris Elba), Peacemaker (John Cena), King Shark (voiced by Sylvester Stallone) and Ratcatcher II (Daniela Melchior) – are sent to the South American island of Corto Maltese to destroy the Nazi-era lab Jotunheim, which is said to contain a giant alien starfish named Starro.
