Taron Egerton enjoyed same sex romps with Richard Madden for Elton John movie
The actor feels sure the gay community will embrace the biopic.
Taron Egerton threw himself into sex scenes with former Game of Thrones star Richard Madden for Elton John biopic Rocketman because he wanted to honour the rocker's homosexuality.
The Robin Hood star portrays the I Guess That's Why They Call it the Blues singer in the film, opposite Madden, who plays Elton's longtime manager and former boyfriend John Reid.
The 29 year old's first ever sex scene came as part of the movie and he tells MTV he had no problems with the fact he would be getting it on with a fellow actor.
"I really threw myself into it, I filmed my first sex scene for this film and it’s with quite a well-known man," Taron says. "I do feel the movie we shot is absolutely a celebration of everything that Elton John is and part of that is his sexuality.
"I loved every second if it. I’m not someone who is remotely perturbed by male intimacy and I am quite proud of what we’ve done with it. We really went some places with it."
And the young star is convinced the gay community will love the film: "I actually think the gay community will be quite surprised by quite how gay it feels," he adds.
Ironically, Madden isn't the only former Game of Thrones star currently portraying Reid on the big screen - Aidan Gillen, who played Petyr 'Littlefinger' Baelish on the hit TV series, tackled the music mogul for Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody.
