INSPIRED BY THE 1944 DOCUMENTARY MADE BY WILLIAM WYLER, THE STORY TELLS OF THE AMERICAN AIRMEN WHO FLEW THE B-17 BOMBER CALLED THE MEMPHIS BELLE DURING WORLD WAR II. THE BELLE WAS THE FIRST OF THE "FLYING FORTRESS" BOMBERS TO NOTCH UP 24 MISSIONS OVER ENEMY TERRITORY AND THE ACTION CENTERS ON THE LAST AND MOST HAZARDOUS MISSION, HER 25TH. FEATURED AMONG THE TEN AIRMEN ARE MATTHEW MODINE AND ERIC STOLTZ, WITH DAVID STRATHAIRN PLAYING THEIR COMMANDER AND JOHN LITHGOW AS THE P.R.
