In a small town in South Wales a tragically dysfunctional family struggles to survive mental instability, suicide and madness in an attempt to achieve the American dream. Adapted from Edward Thomas' stage play this film marks the directorial debut of Marc Evans. Included in the soundtrack are several rock tunes from the group "Velvet Underground" and Welsh-born singer Tom Jones.
