![]() SCRE4Mrelease date 15/04/2011 In 1996, director Wes Craven and screenwriter Kevin Williamson revitalised the horror genre with Scream, an edge of seat thriller that poked fun at the conventions of the slasher flick, asking "Do you like scary movies?" before famously killing off Drew Barrymore in the nail-biting opening sequence. She has penned a self-help book about her harrowing experiences and embarks on a whirlwind book tour, which culminates in a high profile visit to her hometown of Woodsboro, the scene of so much carnage. The rare visit home allows Sidney to spend some quality time with her aunt Kate (Mary McDonnell) and niece Jill (Emma Roberts), and reunites with plucky television journalist Gale Weathers (Cox), who has married cop Dewey Riley (Arquette). Alas, the return to Woodsboro brings Ghostface back into Sidney's life and the crazed killer targets everyone close to the young woman and her loved ones, including Jill's college pals Kirby (Hayden Panettiere) and Olivia (Marielle Jaffe). Having outsmarted Ghostface on three previous occasions, will Sidney's luck finally run out? Familiar faces, who could come to a sticky end, include Anthony Anderson, Kristen Bell, Adam Brody, Rory Culkin, Heather Graham and Anna Paquin.
