In this new beginning, scientist Bruce Banner (Edward "THE ILLUSIONIST" Norton) desperately hunts for a cure to the gamma radiation that poisoned his cells and unleashes the unbridled force of rage within him: The Hulk. Living in the shadows -- cut off from a life he knew and the woman he loves, Betty Ross (Liv "LORD OF THE RINGS" Tyler) -- Banner struggles to avoid the obsessive pursuit of his nemesis, General Thunderbolt Ross (William "VANTAGE POINT" Hurt). As all three grapple with the secrets that led to The Hulk's creation, they are confronted with a monstrous new adversary known as The Abomination (Tim "PLANET OF THE APES" Roth) , whose destructive strength exceeds even The Hulk's own. Directed by Louis ("TRANSPORTER 2") Leterrier from a screenplay by Zak ("X-MEN") Penn. Not a sequel to "The Hulk" (USA/2003) directed by Ang Lee and starring Eric Bana.

If at first you don't succeed, try again. Oscar-winning director Ang Lee's flawed 2003 film adaptation of the not-so-jolly green giant struggled to marry a ponderous screenplay with overblown action set pieces, and a central character who looked more like Shrek's dishevelled cousin than an unbridled force of rage. The emotional power of scientist Bruce Banner's struggle to tame the beast within was lost amidst a blitzkrieg of computer-generated mayhem.

The trailer for this movie is astounding to say the least. I will admit, though that, the special effects were a little off-putting, but I have faith in the director and the stars of the movie, who, given their high status, will boost the franchise and give it the place in the Marvel comic2movie Universe it deserves..
