what's the story
Johnny ("PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN") Depp voices the lead role in this fantasy tale co-directed by Tim ("BIG FISH") Burton. Set in 19th century Europe, the film tells of a man taken to the underworld to marry a corpse bride, leaving his fiancee (and true love) behind to await his return. This fifth collaboration between Depp and Burton is animated using the same stop-motion techniques employed in 1993's "THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS," which Burton produced.
