what's the story
Four women of the Old West become gunfighters to win back their money, their rights and their dignity, in this action-driven drama featuring Madeleine Stowe as a brothel owner, who forgoes her trade to seek out justice, together with "working girls" Mary Stuart Mas- terson, Drew Barrymore and Andie MacDowell. The story opens with these women being driven out of town after Stowe kills a man in defense of one of her girls. Upon discovering their life savings have also been stolen, these female desperadoes determine to track down and punish the men who robbed them. Under the direction of Jonathan ("THE ACCUSED") Kaplan, the story is said "to make sure the women save themselves, with a little help from their male friends." This picture marks his first production since completing "UNLAWFUL ENTRY" and "LOVE FIELD," both of which were released in 1992.
